Al-Bayan Schools Students on an Introductory Visit to Al-Wataniya Private University

Al-Wataniya Private University, represented by Dr. Hazem Melli, Vice President for Scientific Affairs, hosted the Al Bayan Schools on its exploratory visit to the University on Wednesday, 6/12/2023, which falls under the series of pilot induction programs of  Al-Wataniya Private University ( the protocol memorandum of understanding ) of the development program between Al-Wataniya  Private University and a number of schools in Hama and Homs governorates, which is approved by the Minister of Education .

Dr. Hazem Melli welcomed the students of Al- Bayan Schools and their supervisors, represented by a number of administrative and teaching staff at the school (Dr. Hossam Al-Aswad, Dr. Kamal Najjar, Chairman of the Board, Miss.Elham Al-Rammal, Head of the Male Department, Miss. Mona Hamoeia, an administrative, Mr. Radwan Al-Ali, an administrator, Miss. Rozan Qatranji, Counseling Coordinator, Mr. Hassan Subei math teacher, Miss. Asmaa Hijazi, the Media Office). Where Dr. Hazem Melli delivered a speech in which he expressed Al-Wataniya University’s continuous endeavor to extend bridges of scientific and knowledge cooperation with all educational institutions, including Al Bayan Schools, because it is an educational institution that always seeks to graduate students distinguished by their science and politeness.

Dr.Melli added in his speech to the students : “this exploratory visit is important to motivate you to work harder and persevere in the process of academic achievement , so you must familiarize yourself with university life in both its academic ( theoretical and scientific ) and social aspects , which will later be reflected in the development of your talents and the establishment of strong social ties with your colleagues.” in this context, an introductory film was shown for Al-Wataniya Private University, which includes scientific faculties and practical applied departments in various fields.

The survey tour began in the generous presence from the vice president of Al-Wataniya  Private University for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Hazem Melli, accompanied by the supervising staff and about 60 students heading to the Central Library to view its various scientific contents of various books , scientific references, research and studies .Then the visit went to the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning hosted by the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Safwat Ibrahim Pasha, who gave the students a detailed presentation about the history of the Faculty, its departments and its distinctive architectural building. Where the students were briefed on the multiple ceremonies, Architecture laboratories and Acoustics Laboratory.

In a conversation with one of the students of A- Bayan Schools statement, student Mahmoud Kernazi said: “Al-Wataniya Private University is a distinctive University with its different buildings and specializations. My colleagues and I were able to see all the departments equipped with modern technologies, so it was a visit full of knowledge, and forms our motivation and desire to move to university life and live its various scientific and social aspects.”

The visit continued towards the Faculty of Engineering in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty , Dr. Abdulkader Al-Jundi , who in turn introduced the students to the Faculty of Engineering and its departments ( Civil Engineering-Computer Engineering-Telecommunications Engineering), explaining to the students the mechanism of soil inspection and the inspection of building materials and their importance before starting the construction of buildings, in a step towards informing students about the applied and practical side of university studies, the students were accompanied by Mr. Anas Kurdi, Laboratory Supervisor, and Mr.Molham Ezzou Laboratory Assistant on their reconnaissance tour to the Telecommunications and Computer laboratories, introducing them to the computer departments(hardware and software), in addition to informing them about telecommunication devices and how to analyze signals and link them with telecommunication devices and robots .

For her part, Miss. Mona Hamoeia, an administrator at Al-Bayan Schools, said about the importance of this visit for students, as it contributes, as she put it, to: “enrich the knowledge of students and encourage them to continue working and hard to go through this distinctive university experience, especially since they are informed today closely about what awaits them from a different scientific future in all its scientific, applied and social aspects.”

The students also went to the Faculty of Pharmacy by host of Dr. Shoaib Al-Ahmad, Dean of the Faculty, and a number of Faculty professors and

laboratory, where Dr. Khalid Creij, a member of the technical staff, conducted a blood group analysis experiment to detect the Group (A, B, AB, O) while Dr. Hala Hamdan, Laboratory Supervisor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, carried out at the same time an experiment on the hemolytic of paracetamol in a step to familiarize students with the aspects of the pharmacy profession and its applied aspects.

At the end of the visit and its introductory program , the Al-Bayan Schools students visited the Faculty of Dentistry and its Clinics Building in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Tarek Abou Agwa, and the Director of the Clinics Building, Dr. Malek Asaad, who provided a comprehensive explanation about the field of Dentistry and its various practical applications after familiarizing the students with the Dental Clinics equipped with the latest technologies and modern medical instruments .
