Abstract:

Every era in the history of human civilization and every civilization has its own intellectual propositions that stem from its material, moral, social, political and cultural circumstances…, and they work in one way or another to direct the prevailing architectural thought, so that architects have intellectual fields in which and through which they can create. Some of them may come up with innovative creative ideas that produce works that add to the eternal architectural heritage, in addition to the special influences they encounter stemming from the nature of the spatial environment within and for which the design is being carried out, in addition to what the architectural personality of each of them entails. This paper presents an analytical study of the most important influences on the prevailing architectural thought, both from a theoretical perspective that aspires to be applied locally and from a practical perspective that is prevalent in the field of the most widespread architectural labor market. This is due to the importance of this topic and its impact on the local architectural production and its development in a manner that keeps pace with the most prominent issues presented in the architectural arena, both Arab and international.
