The accredited University of Damascus Journal of Engineering Sciences by Scopus, recently published a valuable scientific research by Dr. Abdoulmouen Ahmed Alrifai, a faculty member at the College of Engineering (Telecommunications Engineering) at Al-Wataniya Private University. The research, titled “Analytical and computer- Aided of Pyramidal Microwave Absorber,” was published on June 8, 2023.
Dr. Abdoulmouen Ahmed Alrifai conducted his scientific research based on the foundations and methodologies of scientific research that require obtaining accurate research results for the scientific issues at hand. The idea for this scientific research originated from the existence of many conditions that affect the performance of absorbent microwave pyramidal shape, which must be taken into account when using it as an essential component in the design of the Anechoic Champers, and these factors are: position the gate are placed, at the gate area, incident angles of electromagnetic wave to the microwave pyramidal absorber, the distance between the gate and the microwave pyramidal absorber. It will be shown who these conditions impact of these cases on the performance by studying the reflection coefficient S11. This will be implemented by means of computer simulations carried out by the program CSTMWS and using fixed-isolating material which has permeability coefficient . It is worth to note that the microwave pyramidal absorber designed to operate effectively within the frequency range of (1 ÷ 20) GHz.
These scientific researches come as an added value within the framework of achieving the goals of Al-Wataniya Private University, which seeks to raise the scientific level and develop the educational process. These goals can only be achieved through promoting the concept of scientific research, emphasizing its importance and value for professors and researchers, as it enhances their expertise and knowledge. Additionally, it plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality and effectiveness of academic and educational curricula provided to students.
