Discussion of Graduation Projects for Students of the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning
Creative Visions for a Better Architectural Reality
The Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning at Al-Wataniya Private University organized a discussion of its students’ graduation projects for the second semester of the academic year 2022/2023, under the generous sponsorship of the President of Al-Wataniya Private University, represented by Prof. Dr. Ahed Khuzam and his Deputy for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Hazem Melli, and under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty, Prof.Dr. Safwat Ibrahim Pasha.
The discussion lasted for five days until Wednesday, August 23, 2023, during which students discussed their architectural graduation projects that varied in ideas, design approaches, and presentation methods. The students worked on designing distinctive architectural projects, some of which were innovative and new to meet the local community’s needs for buildings with commercial, economic, social, and service objectives. Meanwhile, some projects focused on the idea of reconstruction as a goal.
In the same context, the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning witnessed a new level in the quality and excellence of architectural ideas presented that caught the attention of judging committees as they served to serve and develop society. The students designed these architectural visions based on academically applicable principles that can be implemented in reality.
These discussions were attended by Mr. Samir Al-Barazi – Chairman of the Board of Directors at Al-Wataniya Private Company for Science and Development – along with Prof. Dr. Ahed Khuzam ,President of Al-Wataniya Private University – and Prof. Dr. Safwan Al-Assaf , President of Al-Manarah University. This reflects the magnitude of effort exerted by faculty members towards preparing distinguished architectural graduates capable of serving their community.
