Abstract:

This study primarily aimed to investigate the attitudes of administrative staff in private companies in the city of Homs toward the behavioral intention to adopt artificial intelligence (AI) tools, and to examine the impact of cognitive and affective attitudes on this intention.
The researchers adopted a descriptive-analytical methodology, combining theoretical and field aspects. The study population consisted of administrative staff working in four private companies in Homs. A convenience sample of 103 administrators was used, with data collected electronically via a questionnaire distributed through Google Forms.
The research instrument was a questionnaire comprising two parts: the first collected demographic data, while the second measured the study variables. Attitudes toward AI were assessed through cognitive and affective dimensions, and behavioral intention to adopt AI tools was measured. A five-point Likert scale was employed to determine response levels. The reliability and validity of the instrument were tested using Cronbach’s alpha, which yielded high coefficients, confirming the tool’s suitability for analysis. SPSS software was used for statistical analysis, including descriptive statistics, reliability tests, and mean analysis.
The results revealed a positive attitude among administrators toward adopting AI tools, accompanied by a high level of behavioral intention to use them. The findings also indicated that both cognitive and affective attitudes positively influence adoption intention. Furthermore, AI tools contribute to improving the quality of administrative decisions, increasing productivity, and enhancing competitiveness.
