A Distinguished Scientific Research by Dr. Anas Taweelh from the Faculty of Dentistry Has Been Published in The Scientific Journal of King Faisal University, Which is Accredited by Scopus

The Scientific Journal of King Faisal University published a scientific research paper on May 23, 2023 by Dr. Anas Taweelh from the Faculty of Dentistry at Al-Wataniya Private   University titled “Role the Ginseng in Treatment Disturbances of Sexual Hormones  by Chemical Doses (Doxorubicin Drug) in the ovary“. This is significant as King Faisal University has two scientific journals, one dedicated to humanities and management sciences and the other focused on basic and applied sciences, both accredited by Scopus, which contains abstracts and references from peer-reviewed academic journals.

Dr.Anas Taweelh   developed the research idea based  on the fact that natural pharmaceutical compounds are relied upon in the treatment of many diseases, due to their ability to possess natural ingredients that have medicinal properties to treat side effects resulting from the toxicity of chemical compounds, as drugs that treat cancer. Our choice  is   to use ginseng, which is well  known for treating stubborn infertility cases and hormonal disorders associated with menopause. Hence, as Dr. Anas Taweelh explained, the importance of this study is to illustrate the profitability of this plant in the treatment of the negative side effects of Doxorubicin, which is considered one of the most used anti-cancer drugs, especially its effect on the mature follicles and the corpus luteum that have the big effect on the activity and the ovarian physiology, as a result of  menstrual disturbances and  infertility in women who received this drug.

Based on scientific research fundamentals and methods, an applied this study showed the importance of the Ginseng roots in the maintenance of the normal levels of ovarian hormones, despite the toxicity of this drug, consequently the increase in number of ovulation stages, and the increase in the fertility level.
