To foster students’ practical and applied knowledge and to combine the applied aspects of knowledge with theoretical academic information, the Faculty of Informatics and Communications Engineering at Al-Wataniya Private University conducted a field trip for senior students to Latakia on Thursday, 6th June, under the general supervision of Dean Prof. Ammar Zakzook, the direct supervision of Dr. Tarek Nassor and the participation of Dr. Ghazwan Rayya in cooperation with the Students’ body representatives.
The trip involved inspecting the communications laboratories and the Robotics Club in Tishreen University. The main aim behind this activity was to familiarize the students with the equipment and techniques employed in the fields of IT and Technology. Then, in the Syrian Computer Society, Latakia Branch, the students explored and inspected the Robotics Projects Exhibition. In addition, they were introduced to the latest and up-to-date implementations in the field of AI and other related fields.
The goals and objectives of such trip were to enrich the students’ knowledge as well as to boost their applied skills. These would have never been achieved without the cooperation and facilitation of the representatives of the Syrian Computer Society branch, Eng. Mariam, Fayoud, Tishreen University Vice-President of Administrative affairs, Dr. Eyad Ismaiel Fahsah, Tishreen University Secretary, Dr. Youssef Jaber and the Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Michelle Youssef Barbahan.
This field trip is one of many educational activities held by Alwataniya Private University to affiliate education with entertainment. It also marks the gateway for advanced science and expertise which students might equip themselves with for future careers.
