The visit was held on Saturday, May 13, 2023, as part of the practical application of the Architectural Design course under the supervision of Prof.Dr. Safwat Ibrahim Pasha, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning. The visit was coordinated and organized by the National Union of Syrian Students at Al-Wataniya Private University.

The aim of the visit was to familiarize students with the hotel as an important scientific and historical destination, study architectural elements and spatial relationships between them, as well as study the general site and placement of the hotel block within it, which has a slope of about 25%. The students also learned about how to address the relationship between the block and land.

During the tour, Prof.Dr. Safwat Ibrahim Pasha provided detailed explanations to students about site elements such as (main entry axes- block placement- parking locations- green areas including a swimming pool, tennis court and recreational areas- pedestrian walkways connecting site elements together). He also discussed how to address slopes and appropriate roads for them before moving on to talk about external facades and architectural style.

The students were able to enter into various sections of the hotel such as(Hotel lobby, cafeteria, reception area, management department, balconies overlooking the Assi River and  Al-Tawafra neighborhood, multi-purpose hall, main restaurant, public services).

 It is worth noting that significant effort was made by Faculty Deanrship and teaching staff to create suitable conditions for such scientific visits. These visits are  considered a cornerstone in building bridges between students’ academic knowledge and their future profession while enhancing their ability to apply knowledge directly in their architectural environment to develop a comprehensive urban architectural vision that combines practical experience with academic education.
