Physiology Laboratory

An applied educational laboratory that trains students to conduct basic physiological experiments, study blood components, and measure vital indicators related to the functions of the heart, blood vessels, and hematological system.

Neubauer counting chambers, Giemsa, Wright, and Leishman blood stains.
Blood slides.
Pipettes for counting red and white blood cells.
Heparinized and non-heparinized capillary tubes.
Blood sera for determining blood groups.
Alcohol, cotton, gauze, lancets, and syringes.
Blood tubes containing anticoagulants, and physiological solutions such as Turk’s fluid, Hayem’s solution, and Ringer’s solution.

Westergren Apparatus

Used to measure the erythrocyte sedimentation rate.

Kymograph Devices

Used to record cardiac and muscular activity graphs.

Light Microscopes

Used to study blood components, count cellular elements, and detect related diseases.

Blood Centrifuge

Used to separate blood components and perform biochemical analyses on blood serum.

Hematocrit Centrifuge

Used to study the packed cell volume of blood, determine the percentage of cellular and non-cellular blood components, and detect related diseases.

Sensitive Balance

Used to calculate the required quantities of materials.

Acquired Skills

Performing total red blood cell counts to identify cases of anemia.
Performing total white blood cell counts to diagnose inflammatory conditions.
Performing differential white blood cell counts to identify the type of inflammation.
Measuring hemoglobin concentration to detect and confirm the presence of anemia.
Measuring hematocrit to assess the general blood status in terms of the balance between cellular and non-cellular components.
Performing erythrocyte sedimentation rate testing to support the diagnosis of several chronic diseases.
Performing clotting time and bleeding time tests to assess the integrity of the coagulation system and platelet efficiency.
Determining blood group and Rh factor to identify blood type and assess the possibility of donation or blood transfusion when needed.
Measuring arterial blood pressure and arterial pulse due to their importance in assessing cardiovascular function.
Training in different types of injections, including intramuscular, intravenous, intradermal, subcutaneous, and insulin injections.

Experiment on the components of the reflex arc in the frog hindlimb flexion reflex.
Experiment on the relationship between stimulus strength and reflex action time.
Experiment on the summation of weak stimuli in nervous centers as a property of nervous centers.
Experiment on irradiation and stimulation summation in nervous centers as a property of nervous centers.
Experiment on the loss of skeletal muscle tone following the removal of nervous center influence.

The Physiology Laboratory enables students to connect theoretical knowledge with practical application through experiments related to blood, arterial pressure, pulse, and essential vital functions.

اختبار زمن التخثر والنزف للتأكد من سلامة الجملة الأنزيمية التخثرية وكذلك كفاءة الصفيحات الدموية عند إجراء الجراحة لأي شخص والتأكد من سلامة هاتين الجملتين
اختبار الزمرة الدموية وعامل ريزيوس لمعرفة الزمرة الدموية للأشخاص وإمكانية التبرع ونقل الدم عنند الحاجة
قياس الضغط الشرياني والنبض الشرياني لأهميته الكبيرة في الاطمئنان على عمل القلب والأوعية الدموية
