The Third Conference of Rectors of the Federation of Arab and Russian Universities was launched this morning, hosted by the University of Sharjah and represented by Prof. Hamid M. Al Naimiy, with official participation from Arab and Russian universities and a number of education ministers from Arab countries.

 Al-Wataniya Private University was  represented by Prof. Dr. Ahed Kuzam, a member of the Board of Directors of the Arab Council for Sustainable Development in the Association of Arab Universities, as part of coordinating Arab and international efforts to establish foundations for development and modernization in higher education at both the Arab and global levels.

 The international event was opened with official speeches from Prof. Hamid M. Al Naimiy, Chancellor of University of Sharjah, Prof. Victor Antonovich Sadovnichy, Lomonosov, Moscow State University, Russia, and Prof. Issa Al Ansari,Prince Mohammad Bin Fahad University,KSA. All speeches revolved around strategies for exchanging experiences and youth exchange between Arab and Russian universities in training areas, non-classroom activities, and sports programs.

 Additionally, Dr. Dawood Mami  from Adyghe State University in Russia and Prof. Shrief Fakhri, Egyptian-Russian University, Egypt gave interactive speeches discussing the importance of these international forums as a meeting point for Arab and global interests that aim to promote higher education development through strengthening cooperative relations between Arab countries.

“MAKING A DIFERENCE TOGETHER” Today’s event at the University of Sharjah is attended by high-level Arab and international participants as part of the third conference for university presidents in the Arab-Russian Union where approximately (60 Russian university presidents, seven UAE university presidents, 150 Arab university presidents representing 21 Arab countries, and 60 Russian universities are present).

 It is worth noting that   Al-Wataniya Private University’s participation in this two-day conference is important as it serves as a link connecting it with other Arab and international universities while creating a new scientific space that always seeks excellence and development.
