تقييم فعاليّة مستضد البروستات النوعي (PSA) كواسم ورمي في الكشف عن سرطان البروستات لدى عينة من المرضى السوريين

سرطان البروستات (PC) Prostate cancer ورم خبيث معتمد على الهرمونات، ينشأ غالباً من الخلايا الظهارية في غدة البروستات، ويُصنَّف كثاني أكثر أنواع السرطان شيوعاً بين الرجال وأحد الأسباب الرئيسة للوفيات المرتبطة بالسرطان عالمياً. يتميز هذا الورم بتباين في سلوكه السريري، مما يجعل الكشف المبكر عاملاً حاسماً في تحسين الإنذار العلاجي. يُعد مستضد البروستات النوعي (PSA) Prostate specific antigen أحد أبرز الواسمات الورمية المستخدمة في التشخيص والمتابعة. هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تقييم فعالية اختبار PSA في الكشف عن PC، ودراسة علاقته بمرحلة الورم، العمر، التدخين، ومؤشر كتلة الجسم (BMI) Body Mass Index. شملت الدراسة 50 مشاركاً (25 مصاباً و25 سليماً)، لتقييم القدرة التشخيصية للاختبار، واقتصر تحليل العلاقة مع المتغيرات السريرية على المصابين بشكل مؤكد بالسرطان فقط. أظهرت النتائج أن اختبار PSA الكلي يمتلك حساسية %96 ونوعية %88 عند العتبة 4 نانوغرام/مل. وُجدت علاقة طردية ذات دلالة إحصائية بين مستوى PSAالكلي وكل من مرحلة الورم والعمر، بينما لم يُلاحظ ارتباط معنوي مع التدخين، وسُجل ارتباط عكسي طفيف مع BMI. تُظهر هذه النتائج أن اختبار PSA فعال في الكشف المبكر عن PC، عند استخدامه بالتوازي مع وسائل تشخيصية تكميلية لدعم اتخاذ القرارات السريرية
