Under the auspices of the Presidency of Al-Wataniya Private University, the Deanship of the Faculty of Pharmacy organized a scientific trip to the Asia Pharmaceutical Industries Laboratory in Aleppo city on Monday, 13/11/2023, under the supervision and generous presence of the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Shoaib Al-Ahmad, his Deputy, Dr. Abdulkarim Mughmomeh and Dr. Marwan Khattab
The scientific trip witnessed an introductory lecture for students about the history of the laboratory as the largest pharmaceutical laboratory in the Middle East, and the laboratory staff provided a detailed explanation to the students about the various pharmaceutical varieties and manufacturing lines existing in the laboratory.
In an effort to increase students ‘ knowledge and the importance of informing them about the practical side of the profession , Mr. Abdulmoeen Qashqash ,Deputy Production Manager at the Asia Laboratory, accompanied the students on a wide introductory tour after dividing them into groups, to introduce them to the various sections of the laboratory and its various lines, providing a full explanation about each form of pharmaceutical and its manufacturing method.
During the field tour, the students got acquainted with the water plant that purifies water and converts it into usable water in pharmaceutical forms , familiarizing them with the air filtration system characterized by the Asia Laboratory, and then the students went to see the work of the production departments in the laboratory, starting from the manufacturing line of compresses, the manufacturing line of soft gelatin capsules, the manufacturing line of serums and injectable forms, up to the manufacturing line of hormonal forms.
These scientific trips are a necessary addition in the student’s university life as they are considered an important link between the theoretical scientific side and the practical applied side, in addition to their role in enhancing students ‘ applied skills to engage in professional reality with merit and high efficiency.
