تأثير إجهاد الامتحان على مؤشر كتلة الجسم لدى طلاب الكليات الطبية في الجامعة الوطنية الخاصة

يعبر الإجهاد عن استجابة الجسم للضغوط الشديدة التي تتجاوز قدرة الفرد على إدارتها. كما يؤدي الاجهاد إلى العديد من الاضطرابات الفيزيولوجية. لذلك، تبحث هذه الدراسة في تأثير إجهاد الامتحان على مستويات الكورتيزول في البلازما ومؤشر كتلة الجسم BMI، لدى 40 طالبًا من الكليات الطبية في الجامعة الوطنية الخاصة. تم تقييم هذه المعايير قبل 11 أسبوعًا من الامتحانات النهائية (ما قبل الامتحانات) وفي يوم الامتحانات (أثناء الامتحانات). ارتفع الكورتيزول بشكل ملحوظ أثناء الامتحانات مقارنةً بفترة ما قبل الامتحانات، مما قد يزيد من خطر الإصابة بالأمراض الاستقلابية. في حين كان توزيع مؤشر كتلة الجسم متقاربًا في كلتا الفترتين، مما يشير إلى أن العلاقة بين الإجهاد ومؤشر كتلة الجسم قد تعتمد على آليات التكيف الفردية مع الجهد ونمط الحياة الذي يتبعه الطالب
