تمّ في هذا البحث تقديم مراجعة لإمكانية استخدام أجهزة البلازما المحرقية كمنابع أشعة سينية لتصوير العينات البيولوجية. حيث جرى عرض لآليات الإصدار والمجموعات الأساسية لمنابع الأشعة السينية، كما تم شرح آليات إصدار الأشعة السينية من البلازما بشكل عام ومن ثمّ شرح للميزات التي تتمتع بها أجهزة البلازما المحرقية كمنابع للأشعة السينية والعوامل المؤثرة على طاقة الأشعة الصادرة. وأخيراً تم عرض أمثلة لعمليات تصوير بعض العينات البيولوجية باستخدام أجهزة البلازما المحرقية
