Microbiology Laboratory

An educational laboratory that introduces students to the fundamentals of microbiology, methods of handling bacterial samples, staining, microscopic examination, and bacterial culture in accordance with laboratory safety standards.

Laboratory Instruments

  • Bacterial inoculation loops, holders, glassware, bottles, flasks, beakers, cylinders, and tubes.
  • Various culture media and agars, cotton swabs, syringes, alcohol, cotton, gauze, and slides.
  • Different stains, such as Gram stain, Ziehl–Neelsen stain, Giemsa stain, and antibiotic sensitivity discs.

Available Equipment

The laboratory includes light microscopes, a centrifuge for blood samples, a sensitive electronic balance, an autoclave for sterilization, a Pasteur oven, in addition to a refrigerator and freezer for preserving culture media and laboratory materials.
