Abstract

This research aimed to identify the role of management information systems (MIS) in improving the company's inventory management performance at the Kajjoun Shoes Company in Hama Governorate, Syria, as a case study. The researchers adopted a descriptive approach as the general research methodology. A questionnaire was designed and distributed to a random sample of employees at the senior and middle management levels, as well as specialists and operators of management information systems at the company under study. The researchers used SPSS version 25 to conduct statistical descriptions and test the research hypotheses.

The research found a statistically significant relationship between the dimensions of management information systems (the administrative dimension, the technology, and the individual’s dimension) and improving the company's inventory management performance at Kajjoun Shoes Company. The research also recommended reviewing the experiences of international organizations in implementing management information systems, participating in specialized training courses on management information systems.
