Launching a Series of Training Courses for Teaching Drawing Skills,
Targeting Students Interested in Applying to the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning
The series of training courses for teaching drawing skills to students Interested in applying to the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning for the academic year 2023-2024 has begun under the sponsorship of the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Safwat Ibrahim Pasha, and under the supervision of Ms. Jameela Husseino, a technical member of the faculty. This is an effective step towards preparing and qualifying students theoretically and practically to pass the admission exam and join the Faculty of Architecture.
Speaking about the importance of conducting this training course for students, Dean Dr. Safwat Ibrahim Pasha said, “The current training courses are an important step for students who wish to enroll as they aim to teach them freehand drawing techniques smoothly and flexibly, and train them on drawing geometric shapes from different angles using shading and lighting to express architectural depth.”
The scientific and knowledge necessity of this training course lies in shedding light on the concept of architectural perspective, which portrays external masses in their three-dimensions, helping students visualize architectural space in the future. Especially since they do not have previous knowledge background, these scientific materials provided to them will enhance their drawing skills as a fundamental subject in the early years and a foundation for other scientific and practical subjects.
It is worth noting that the Dean’s Office continuously strives with the Presidency of Al-Wataniya Private University to develop students’ skills and pave their professional path by providing all possible facilities for them and equipping them with the necessary knowledge and experience to build a solid foundation in their academic and professional careers ahead
