Literary Morning for the Students of the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences

Cultural Enrichment and Literary Diversity

The Student Body of the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences (Culture Office) organized a literary morning presented by a group of college students on Saturday, June 10, 2023. The event was attended by the Dean of the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences, Dr. Hayan Hamdan, the branch of the National Union of Syrian Students at Al-Wataniya Private University, as well as members of the faculty and students.

The Morning started with a recitation by student Baraa Ghazal, who shared her literary contribution, that added value to the cultural and professional activities of the college. Ghazal emphasized the importance of these events for participating students, stating: “These innovative activities work on raising awareness among students as they develop different talents and enhance them. They allow thoughts to freely flow and unleash imagination to create new literary masterpieces. This motivates talented individuals to discover themselves and elevate their knowledge and cultural level.”

In a related context, student Hazem Aryan presented prose and poetic verses with a distinct literary style through which he conveyed his ideas and talent to everyone. Regarding his participation in cultural activities, he explained: “The tangible real benefit for students participating in these events is building their character, refining their talents, and shining a light on them. This enhances students’ self-confidence first and strengthens their social position within society in general; especially within the college they attend.”

The participating student, Hazem Aryan, praised all the efforts made by the Culture Office of the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences to bring credibility to the activities and projects it carries out. He highlighted its actual role in raising the cultural level of the entire university generation and encouraged them to discover their talents and support them in every possible way.

In the same context, student Mohammed Tafesh presented poetic verses in a distinctive literary form, and the literary morning concluded with free verse recited by student Ali Miftah. This modern literary style allowed the writer to express his thoughts and ideas smoothly and simply. When asked about the importance of organizing such cultural activities within the college, he said, “Talented individuals need continuous care and support from their social environment. This is where these events play a role in providing sufficient space and a suitable environment for these talents to emerge and make their voices heard by everyone.” Regarding the actual benefit of his literary participation in the morning event, he said, “The event shed light on modern poetry and expanded its scope so that people can form a correct idea about this literary genre, thus creating an incentive for them to experiment and participate.”

The Literary Morning was a qualitative cultural initiative in its content, aiming to discover young talents and highlight them within the framework of enhancing the role of Al-Wataniya Private University that seeks to uplift students and support them in their scientific, cultural, literary, and artistic interests as they contribute to enriching both the University’s culture and knowledge for students alike.
