As part of its continuous efforts to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical experience, the laboratories of the Faculty of Dentistry at Al-Wataniya Private University witnessed the launch of a practical workshop in the field of Endodontics. This event took place during the “Scientific Week of Endodontics,” organized in cooperation between the Faculty of Dentistry and Baram & Al-Hamad Company, aiming to elevate the clinical practice standards of students and train them on the latest global therapeutic techniques.

Advanced Therapeutic Methods Using Microscope and Rotary Systems

The scientific workshop commenced under the direct supervision of the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Tarek Abou Ajwa, and Mr. Abdul Wahab Baram, the Scientific Director of Baram & Al-Hamad Company.alongside Dr. Raif Al-Najjar, Vice-Dean of the College, and Dr. Sumaya Sheikh Ghanameh, Head of the Endodontics Department. The workshop focused on providing a comprehensive practical protocol covering all stages of endodontic treatment, starting from the use of microscopes to provide ideal and precise visualization during therapeutic procedures, through canal preparation mechanisms, and concluding with thermal obturation by training students on 3D injection and sealing techniques.

Dr. Abdul Razzaq Baram, in collaboration with Dr. Karim Surour and Dr. Asmaa Al-Talla, provided a detailed explanation of Electronic Apex Locators and how to integrate them with modern Rotary Systems to ensure safe and accurate treatment.

Intensive Practical Application for 40 Students

The training targeted approximately 40 male and female students from various academic years. Under the supervision of a group of elite practicing dentists, students were trained on the mechanism of determining working length using Apex devices with high precision. Additionally, they practiced using Rotary systems, learning about the latest file updates and how to avoid common errors during preparation, ending with the application of thermal obturation via vertical condensation and injection on educational plastic blocks.

This workshop is part of Al-Wataniya Private University’s vision in Hama to strengthen partnerships with leading companies such as Baram & Al-Hamad, to equip laboratories with the latest medical devices and provide students with the necessary skills to handle advanced technology in the dentistry profession.
