Al-Wataniya Private University Participates in the Regional Programming Competition in the Arab Republic of Egypt

Al-Wataniya Private University is preparing for its distinguished representation in the 2025 Arab and African Collegiate Programming Championship (ACPC) through its team “Chill Guys”, composed of students from the Faculty of Informatics Engineering. The team will travel to Luxor, Arab Republic of Egypt, to compete among an elite group of university teams from across the Arab and African regions.

This participation takes place under the direct supervision of Dr. Samar Al-Halabi, Programming Competition Coordinator at the University, and under the academic guidance of Dr. Hazem Melli, Scientific Supervisor of the competition and Vice President for Scientific Affairs. This comes within the framework of the University administration’s continuous support for outstanding students and its commitment to encouraging them to engage in scientific challenges at international academic forums.

This step represents the culmination of a distinguished record of achievements by the team, which recently secured first place among private Syrian universities and won the bronze medal at the level of Syrian public and private universities. These achievements qualified Al-Wataniya Private University to participate alongside leading Syrian universities, including Damascus University, Aleppo University, Homs University, and the Syrian Virtual University, in this prestigious regional championship.

Through this participation, Al-Wataniya Private University reaffirms its firm commitment to promoting creativity and academic excellence, and to empowering its students to showcase their abilities while representing their University and their country, Syria, in the best possible manner at major scientific events.
