On Thursday, December 18, 2025, the Faculty of Architectural Engineering and Urban Planning organized an introductory meeting specifically for first-year students entering the faculty for the academic year 2025-2026. Professor Dr. Safwat Ibrahim Pasha, Dean of the Faculty of Architectural Engineering and Urban Planning, met with the new students to introduce them to the field of architecture and the path of the upcoming educational phase as they begin their academic journey.
Professor Dr. Safwat Ibrahim Pasha explained to the new students the importance of architectural engineering and urban planning in light of the current changes the country is witnessing and the emerging need for reconstruction and restoration of urban damage caused by the war. He also clarified to the students the number of academic semesters and the most important scientific subjects included in the faculty’s study plans.
On another note, the Dean of the Faculty emphasized the importance and nature of practical courses (architectural design, urban design, execution drawings, etc.), in addition to the skills that students must acquire through continuous training and practical experience. He pointed to the efforts made by the Deanship of the Faculty and its teaching staff in preparing graduating students to be at a high level of professionalism and practical experience, which qualifies them to enter the labor market efficiently and professionally.
The discussion also emphasized the importance of full adherence to examination instructions to ensure the examination process runs optimally, in addition to the values followed by the Deanship of the Faculty in fairness, justice, and transparency. Professor Dr. Safwat Ibrahim Pasha pointed out the importance of preparing in advance and acquiring practical skills throughout the academic years in preparation for preparing quality graduation projects, as they constitute the student’s first gateway to a successful professional path.
An interactive dialogue meeting came as a confirmation of Al-Wataniya Private University’s vision of the need for effective communication with students, answering their questions, and informing them of their rights and duties as an actual step towards enhancing knowledge and consolidating students’ steps on the path to success and excellence.
