Professor Dr. Walid Sahyouni, advisor to the Quality and Accreditation Office at Al-Wataniya Private University, participated on Saturday, February 14, 2026, in the Advisory Board meeting of the Arab Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, as an expert member of the board and representative of the Syrian Arab Republic.
This meeting of the Advisory Board comes in fulfillment of the board’s objectives in supporting the network’s strategic directions and enhancing the quality of higher education by providing technical and scientific advice that helps to raise the effectiveness of performance, develop initiatives, and support decision-making mechanisms.
Towards raising the efficiency of the work of the Arab Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, the Advisory Board carries out its multiple tasks through the cooperation of experts and competent members of the board on:
1- Contributing to the development of public policies and providing specialized consultations to support the network’s directions.
2- Proposing projects and initiatives that enhance the quality of higher education in Arab countries.
3- Providing recommendations and studies related to performance development.
4- Supporting decision-making processes by providing scientific and professional opinions on pivotal topics.
5- Participating in the evaluation of annual plans and ensuring their consistency with the network’s objectives.
6- Strengthening cooperation and coordination with consultants and relevant regional and international institutions.
7- Proposing projects and providing scientific studies and research in support of the network’s objectives.
A meeting through which the Advisory Board seeks to establish the foundations for the work of the Arab Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, which in turn seeks to upgrade the level of higher education and develop its scientific and professional outputs.
