Joint scientific trip for students of the Faculties of Management and Engineering to Al-Maaref University in Idlib

As part of its continuous endeavor to link academic curricula with practical reality, Al-Wataniya Private University (WPU), represented by the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences and the Faculty of Engineering (Informatics and Communications departments), organized an academic field trip to Al-Maaref University for Applied Sciences in Idlib Governorate on Saturday, December 20, 2025.

The trip was launched under the supervision of Dr. Abeer Zaidani, Dean of the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences, accompanied by a distinguished group of faculty and technical staff. The visit included an extensive introductory tour of Al-Maaref University’s campus, where students explored:

  • Advanced Scientific Laboratories: Examining high-tech equipment designed to support theoretical courses with hands-on experience.
  • Management Information Systems (MIS) Program: Gaining insights into the latest mechanisms for integrating administrative sciences with modern technology.
  • Mechatronics Engineering Program: Reviewing cutting-edge practical applications in this vital, interdisciplinary field.

The day concluded with a visit to Al-Mollat Street in New Sarmada. This segment aimed to achieve a balance between scientific benefit and social engagement, allowing students to observe the local economic and commercial environment firsthand while strengthening social ties and collegiate spirit.

This visit reaffirms Al-Wataniya Private University’s commitment to expanding its students’ knowledge horizons and fostering scientific cooperation with prestigious Syrian academic institutions like Al-Maaref University.
