An analytical study of the reality of e-managementapplication at Al-Wataniya Private University: a proposed framework for designing a mobile app

Abstract

This research aimed to: identify the reality of e-management application at Al-Wataniya Private University, suggest a proposed mobile-app that serves relevant parties (students, faculty members, and employees), and propose the necessary recommendations to enable e-management application. A technique of semi-structured personal Interviews with open-ended questions was used in order to identify the reality and obstacles of applying e-management at Al-Wataniya Private University. To analyze the interview's questions, a thematic analysis approach was used, which is a method usually used to analyze qualitative data obtained from interviews .The final results were as follows: All necessary requirements for e-management application at Al-Wataniya Private University are available, including technical, administrative, financial, and human requirements. The directorates of: examinations, student affairs, finance, and information technology rely well on e-management in providing their services to the relevant parties, while human resources directorate has limited rely on e-management in providing its services .Based on the foregoing, it can be said that Al-Wataniya Private University possesses all the necessary components to launch its mobile-app, which will be the most prominent of its electronic services, and enhance its competitive advantages.
